Did you know that this 10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials can be styled to form 40+ outfit! That is after I got lazy, so if you play around you can push it to even twice the amount. I was shocked as hell when I saw that too. In todays video we discussed what this 10 basic pieces and alternatives are for creating a bomb ass functioning wardrobe. 10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 1. White T-Shirt

Every Girl deserves a Pair or Ten in their wardrobe. There quite a variation when it comes to a white tee and i have talked about it in detail on the video. However, for summary sake, we have the common 3 types. The Round or crew neck, the scoop neck and a v-neck. This is a timeless piece and forms the basis of all layering. It can be styled up or down and works with all body types. Variation of a white tee can be any plain white tanks, graphite whites or neutrals.

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 2. Crisp Button-Up white Shirt

Probably the most versatile of all the pieces. It can work from work, to after hours to a night out with girls. Don’t believe me see below how I styled a white shirt on it’s on, on one of my girlfriends Birthday. They are just a must have in a girls wardrobe. They work with every thing, they can be tied around the waist for contrast, dressed up or down, given a full tuck or half tuck. I mean is there anything a white button up Can’t Do? 10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 3. Jackets

From the boyfriend Bomber Jackets, to motto or biker jackets, camel jacket, jean jackets and the classic of all the Leather Jacket. The choices are non stop. You need to invest well on this pieces. Think of this as diamonds of clothes. They are timeless pieces. Don’t believe me, check your mother’s closet or family album and you will find this pieces making appearance one to many times. They can be dressed up or down, draped on shoulders, tied around the waist or simply fully dressed and they add an edge and a pinch of drama in outfit.

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 4. Blazer

Blazers are the big-grown up sister to the jackets. They have a classier and more elegance with a touch of oomph that you can’t achieve with a laid back look. Blazers are sleek and sharp. If you get a tailor-made one, its hard to miss the fashionista vibe they send. If you are just starting out, A black blazer is your first step. followed by a navy blue or white and a pop of color, Red or whatever you fancy. Depending on the vibe you lean towards the most, a double breasted or single breasted can do the trick just fine. See previous post on how to style a blazer

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 5. Little Black Dress.

If you don’t own this or at least 5 more like this, feel free to unfollow my blog and all social medias. Because i have failed you as a style blogger. How have you survived in the 21st century without this? A LBD is your freaking best friend. Do you know the days that you have nothing to wear to a significant date or simply running the kids to soccer practise? A LBD could have worked so well on your flavor. This babies can be dressed up or down and flatter your entire existence. With that being said, if you don’t have one, do yourself a flavor and go shopping already. A good variation can be a little white/grey/or nude dress.

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 6. Shorts

My personal favorite. I am more of a shorts than skirts kinda girl. I feel like you can get away with tiny shorts with little judgement *wink wink* if you know what i mean. This is the perfect summer attire. However you can get away with stlying them all year round by layering. Yup shorts can be a go-to winter outfit. There are a million and one types out there, but if you are just beginning get yourself a denim short or any black short and work yourself up.

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 8. Jeans

Probably the most common basic type. Do correct me if am wrong but this is a universal loved basic and the most dressed. There a bunch of variations out there, just to mention but a few, the straight leg, bootleg, mum jeans, boyfriend jeans and my personal favorite; the skinny jeans. They go from a light wash, to a mid wash and a dark wash. you can’t have one too many jeans. They work with everything and when paired right they can even work as an office attire.

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials: 9. Denim/ Chambray/ Jean Shirt

The butter to the denim pants. Probably my second favorite way of styling it. My first being dressing it up on it’s on. This is a more relaxed and fun version of the classic white button up shirts. Their closest variation can be the checkered or plaid shirts. Both can be dressed up or down, styled with a full tuck or half messy tuck, or simply tied around the waist . to give it a chilled vibe.

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials:10. Skirts

Not my to-go cup of tea. However I own a couple of pairs. They come in handy on days when I want to tap my inner femininity or when I have some important business meetings and interview. If you are beginning to form a basic wardrobe a black midi skirt should be your first start. They are flattering and a perfect universal fit. From there feel free to broaden towards the whites and the greys for more variation.
