Excited to be back. Crazy time slots and messy routines got me here. A new fashion posts and its been a rather hot minute ever since we spoke fashion up in here. So coming with a classic fashion twist seems just like the way to kick-start March. Which just started but as I look in my calendar it’s about to end in the next week or so. Phew, Time needs to slow down. I need a breather. How have you been you guy? Honestly I miss you all and thank you for sticking with my not so stable schedule. Lets get right into it.

The classic white shirt is the real deal: The true wear-anywhere closet staple. In crisp cotton or soft silk, its tailored shape brings elegance to distressed denim and conservative suiting alike. Its one of those classic staples that can be worn up or down. From day to-night in a heartbeat. The crazy fact is that you are allowed to have more than 1 pair of the same type. Or is it just me who buys a gazillion white shirts even though I could swear I have the same exact one. SMH

That said, I’m showing you how to style your crisp shirt for the office, a night out, or a weekend stroll. Tuck it in or let it hang loose; tie it in knots or fashion an expert cuff—you can’t go wrong with this year-round essential. Chic Ways to Style The Classic White Shirt

1. Be Bold!

That should have been in Red! but I wasn’t planning to intimidate you. This is a fun twist to try for a night out. When you are feeling all forms of extra, don’t hesitate to dress your Classic white shirt as a dress for a change and go enjoy the night away. Its Bold, its Hella stylish and Dear God Sexy and beyond. You haven’t gone bold till you try this. Need extra motivation, I did style this on my Style Confidence post. Holy Hell about 2 Years ago! where is the time. But I promise you it’s still trendy and Bold AF! I will have to re-do the look soon enough.

Style Tip: For a more dress up look pair it with some sexy high heels or some stylish sneakers for a laid back AF look

2. Casual throw on

Since we are still on the same lines of styling a classic white shirt bold and it still being the main focus. You can never go wrong with a casual slay in a classic white shirt or better yet use it as a cover-up for your bikini. This screams effortless and your style statement tends to be loud while you ain’t trying but you’re trying you get the point.

Styling bonus tip: Shop a size or two extra to achieve this look or better yet borrow and never return from your boyfriend.

3. accessories

I know! before you go full attack mode on me, allow me to break it down to you. Drawing inspiration from the summer weather that has now become my life style. You could actually dress a classic white shirt as an accessory by tying it around your waist to break a monotonous all black look or to give definition to your little black dress. This is such a trendy chic style point and helps you stand out from the overly used denim shirts or plaid to accessories an outfit.

Style Tip: Go an extra mile and complete the look with some white sneakers!

4. Layering

Another fun and refreshing way to style up a classic white shirt is by layering it up. Most people prefer layering tees and tanks. But layering a shirt is more daring and ups your style by a mile. Depending on your preference, a white shirt can be laid under or over a dress, an over-all or a bralette. The beauty about this, is there is no right or wrong way of doing it but careful not to over do it or try so hard, in most cases than non it would show you are trying so hard.

5. Out of the Box Styling

Since the whole tuck in tuck out has been over done then go out of your way and color outside the line with variations of tucks and shoulder plays that are seen by most bloggers.

• Have the first buttons done and let the rest run wild
• You could opt for a half tuck like how I did.
• You could tie a knot all together and skip the tucking hassle.
• Better yet, you could have it on off-shoulder. My friend Jackie does a number on this
• You could use it as a thrown on with a fine Bra or bralette.
• Pair it with an overly distress denim to have a dress up look combo

6. Belt-it Up

Another chic and trendy way to style up a white classic shirt is by using statement accessories like the bold corset. This makes your shirt instantly interesting and gives it character while you turn a head or two. I am yet to try this particular styling bit.

7. Reverse styling

You all thought I was done? Nah things are only getting interesting. Go the extra mile and style the classic white shirt on reverse. The front part becomes the back part and the back becomes the show stopper. This works more easily with shirts that have some form of embellishment. But it would work quite the same with a plain white shirt.

Style tip: Do the Mickey mouse bow on the back to create extra chic styling.
