The Holly Jolly Holiday Tag

1. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?

I love a good reason to shop but still, want to save a buck or two every time I shop so from Black Friday to Christmas and any discount in between.

2. If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?

Ah, I would 100% want to be in the Christmas Prince. Because is living my fairytale dream. If you are thinking of what movies to watch this holiday and during Christmas time. I have about 30 Listed movies up on the Blog. Fancy a peek?

3. Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

I am more of a Christmas Eve kinda girl. I think I enjoy the pressure build and the intensity of the countdown. The Christmas day is always relaxed so I love the thrill of the eve.

4. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?

Around the 19th or 20th, I would say. Mostly because we always travel to the countryside – By the countryside, I most definitely mean the village, because that’s mostly where my holiday road trips lead to. But since I am now newly homeowner, we are doing this on the weekend leading to 1st December.

5. White lights or colored lights?

God! no colored light, White light all day every day.

6. Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?

If I can find my presents I would be guilty of peeking I love surprises but I am just not very good at waiting.

7. Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa’s Workshop

Santa’s Workshop! I imagine it to be magical and so much fun!

8. Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!

Ah, mostly it’s my entire family and extended relatives sitting and hanging out after dinner, Mostly all presents are already exchanged at this time as we await the Christmas Countdown. Nearing the time to a countdown we always gather around for a thanksgiving prayer and we eat and drink our way towards Christmas.

9. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?

Uh, it would be uhhhm Be Peter Hermann my Man Candy Crush from Younger or Daniel Lissing.

10. What tops your tree?

An Angel/Fairy she is dressed in white and she lights up.

11. Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?

I know like half of them in a random order. Ha! so much for a Christmas Lover.

  • Nine ladies dancing.
  • Twelve drummers drumming
  • Two turtle doves.
  • Six geese a-laying.
  • Seven swans a-swimming.

12. Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?

Oh yes, this is what constituted my Early childhood memories.

13. Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days are left?

Oh yes I am, we are on 19 days and counting as I write this but when you read this it will be 16 days and counting

14. What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?

I am serving my appetite for some baked potatoes, Homemade pilau some fried chicken and all the Christmas Cake I can find, Body goals be Damned Ha!

15. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you’ve grown older?

Well, I still enjoy the Whole idea around Christmas except the magic fades when I have to spend my own money to get my magical Christmas wishes.
